Jim Micsky
Executive Director


Jim Micsky is Executive Director of the United Way of Mercer County, a position he has held since 1998. Prior to this appointment, Jim served for 10 years as the AFL-CIO Community Services Liaison. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Labor Studies at Antioch University from the George Meany Center, Maryland. 

Jim led the United Way of Mercer County into the Community Impact arena, whereby United Way volunteers began looking to assist with emerging needs, as well as maintaining core agency program services.  In 2004, the Success by 6™ initiative, Summer Program for Pre-Kindergarten Children was formed.  Additionally, the Women’s Leadership Initiative was created to engage women in all facets of United Way.

In 2008, Jim assisted volunteers from Northern Mercer County United Way and United Way of Mercer County to develop a plan of merger between the organizations. Under his guidance, the United Way of Mercer County has strengthened the internal pledge-reporting process, introduced the Program Specific Outcome-Based Funding method, and expanded the member agency affiliation number. 


Jim and his wife Cindy reside in the Greenville area and are the parents of three grown children.   

Erika Hink
Campaign Associate

Erika is a graduate of Union Area High School in Lawrence County and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Communications from Westminster College in New Wilmington.  She has over seven years of experience in sales and management, most recently as the store manager of ALDI’s in Greenville.   
 
The daughter of Dr. Michael and Marilyn Hink, Erika lives in New Castle with her daughter.

Sarah Robinson-Cronin
Bookkeeper

 
Before specializing in Accounting, Sarah was with the Value City chain, having initially joined them as temporary holiday staff.  Eleven years later, after earning a dual Business Administration-Accounting degree from Erie's Tri-State Business Institute, she left her Value City Management position to pursue a career in Finance. 

Sarah grew up in the Hadley-Sheakleyville region, but now lives in Meadville with her husband, toddler son and baby daughter.

Brenda George
Administrative Assistant

 
Brenda is a Penn State graduate who majored in Business with a Minor in Management Information Systems.  Her thirteen-year background in Administration and Copywriting has been put to good use in various industries, including Manufacturing, E-Commerce Solutions, Importing, Social Services, Advertising/Marketing and HealthCare. 

Originally from central PA, Brenda moved to the Shenango Valley back in 1992. She and her husband live in Hermitage.
