P.J. O’Rourke once said, “Golf combines two favorite American pastimes -  taking long walks and hitting things with a stick.”  We couldn't agree more.

As in previous years, United Way of Mercer County's Pro-Am Golf Classic took place at the Avalon Country Club in Sharon, and included dinner and dancing afterward. The State College-based band "Velveeta" returned by popular demand.
