Week of Caring
September
7-11, 2009
Last year the United Way
of Mercer County sponsored a day of caring in our community to kick off the
2008 annual campaign. Participants did different projects that benefited those
of our community members who are in need. This year we are kicking off the 2009
annual campaign by extending the day of caring to a week long collection of
items that focus on Education, Income and Health.
We are excited about this
week long opportunity to collect items that will help many families. All we are
asking of your organization is to get the word out about the items we are
collecting and get all the donations that you can. The community food warehouse
will provide your collection box on September 7, 2009 and pick it up on
September 11, 2009.
We thank you for your
support and willingness to participate in the week of caring and many
individuals and families who will receive the items thank you too.
Attached
is a list of the items that we are asking to be collected. If you have any questions
or concerns please contact Laura Evans at the United Way of Mercer County
office at 724-981-1884. Please fill out and return the participation form to
the United Way of Mercer County, 300 West State Street, Sharon, PA 16146 no
later than August 19th. We hope to be able to count on your
participation this year. Thank you on behalf of all the United Way Agencies who
are serving Mercer County.
